The tumor cells are organized in large dense solid pattern with small area of tumor organized more in organoid pattern. The tumor cells are round uniform, most nuclei have salt and pepper chromatin. The cytoplasm is abundant in most tumor cells, which is slightly basophilic. There is marked crush artifact noted in this samples, which could be part of the tumor histology. The tumor is most consistent with neuroendocrine tumor, the tumor is positive for human mitochondrial marker, and weakly positive for CK.
