This is a poorly differentiated tumor characterized by undifferentiated monomorphic round cell and focally spindle cell morphology with conspicuous nucleoli and high mitotic rate. Stroma is scant and fibrovascular. Foci of necrosis are noted with associated inflammatory cells.
