Notes
Non-keratinizing sqaumous cell carcinoma with features of transitional cells. Sheets or islands of large polygonal, flattened and stratified malignant cells with a high cytoplasm to nucleus ratio and presence of intracellular bridges. Features resemble closure to the transitional cell carcinoma. In humans non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma is very rare, however, these features are not uncommon to see in patient derived xenograft models.
The section showing areas of necrosis, some of which is central necrosis, and show high proliferation.
