Notes
Moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of colon. Some of the tumor glands are scattered, surrounded by the stromal component. Cribriform glands noted, may indicate evolution of tumor. Tumor cells appear elongated, with overlapping morphology. Mucin in the section is not prominent due to frozen artifacts. Necrotic debris consisting of nuclear fragments ie dirty necrosis. There is also presence of stromal component, which is primarily composed of fibroblasts. Section is obtained from frozen tissue.
